History

Established in 2003.  These awards are made possible by General Dynamics Land Systems – Canada (GDLS-C) and their continued commitment to help the youth in our community grow and become leaders. GDLS-C is proud to have a workforce with varied backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.  GDLS-C places a high priority on safety and security – for their customers, their people and Canada

Criteria

  1. Graduating high school student who is entering post-secondary education, following graduating in the summer.
  2. One (1) scholarship for a student studying a skilled trade; one (1) scholarship for a student studying in STEM; one (1) scholarship for a student studying business & economics; one (1) scholarship for a student studying arts & social studies and; one (1) scholarship for a student who is supported by a family member in the Canadian Forces (reg. force or reserves) or is an active member of the Forces or Cadets.
  3. Above average academic performance and commitment.
  4. Participation in extracurricular activities, employment and community experience will be considered in addition to academic performance.
  5. Applications must be submitted to Thames Valley Education Foundation by each school’s Guidance/Student Services Dept.

Selection Process

To be selected by General Dynamics Land Systems - Canada's Public Affairs Committee.
